German speaking Direct Marketing Manager. A superb new opportunity for an experienced Direct Marketing Manager from the consumer brand / shopping experience sector to develop and grow a leading consumer lifestyle and leisure brand into the retail markets in Germany and Austria. 

LOCATION
Work from home / remote in Germany + regular travel in the DACH countries (and to France and the Benelux region in the near future if required).


LANGUAGES
Business fluent English and German is essential.

JOB DESCRIPTION
In order to lead all direct marketing sales and business retail operations across Europe, they wish to recruit a German speaking Direct Marketing Manager. Based in Europe, you will be responsible for the planning and the execution of retail sales strategies of the consumer brands into Germany and Austria (and in the future France and the Benelux). The job will typically cover the following duties and responsibilities:

  • Campaign strategy (local and national level), i.e. developing live activity schedule
  • Finding suitable sales locations (such as shopping centers, retail parks etc.) for direct marketing consumer sales activities
  • Negotiation of location space, acquiring best price for clients
  • Focus on developing, scaling and expanding revenue from existing clients
  • Forecasting and budgeting across individual campaigns and territories
  • Management and development of Country Sales Managers
  • Evaluating sales and performance data to identify areas in need of improvement.
  • Completing weekly admin tasks via Google Suite and Salesforce.
  • Forecasting and budgeting across individual campaigns.
  • Recruitment and training of sales staff
  • Management and development of Sales Managers to support the role.
  • Liaising with transport companies for rig and de-rig of sales stand
  • Managing remotely as well as monitoring through regular local site visits.
  • Effectively feeding back suggestions and client requests into the organisation.
  • Financial accountability across all channels.


CANDIDATE PROFILE

  • Business fluent in both English and German. Fluent also in Dutch or French is an advantage but not essential
  • Previous experience of consumer brand or retail brand / retail shopping experience operations
  • Previous experience running a large sales team within a direct-to-consumer company
  • Experience managing a salesforce of at least 20 people, ideally across F2F, telemarketing or D2D channels.
  • Target driven whilst focusing on delivering both company and client values.
  • Track record of building long-term relationships with key stakeholders
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in Google Suite, MS Suite and Salesforce.

  • Previous cross-border project managing experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

 

SALARY
Negotiable base salary of c40,000 EUROs + c 20,000 EURO commission.
