Data Protection Compliance Specialist

Fantastic opportunity to work as a Data Protection Compliance Specialist for a leading global organisation, offering a basic starting salary in the first year of between £36,000 - £40,000 plus a guaranteed bonus of 25% of salary (£9,000 - £10,000) which is paid quarterly. Earnings in the first year will be between £45,000 - £50,000.



COMPANY
Our global client is a market leading technology company. This exciting and varied role as a Data Protection Compliance Specialist will focus on understanding data protection requirements as well as data flows. You will be responsible for developing and implementing procedures and ensuring that essential records are maintained and kept up to date.


LOCATION
Hybrid role, 3 days a week in the office (Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday), Monday and Friday working from home. Head office is based in the South West London area.


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Data Protection Compliance Specialist you will be responsible for managing data protection requirements within the organisation and implementing relevant procedures as necessary

Responsibilities will include:

  • Develop and implement procedures to support compliance and governance
  • Ensure necessary assessments and records are created and maintained
  • Develop relevant training material for internal stakeholders
  • Review and maintain data processing records
  • Investigate data breaches and implement corrective actions
  • Assist with ESG and Compliance tasks as and when necessary



PERSON SPECIFICATION

  • Previous experience in data protection compliance and risk management
  • GDPR qualification is an advantage
  • Experience of working on international transfer risks is an advantage
  • Experience of working with an ISO management system is preferred (9001, 27001, 14001, 45001)



SALARY
£45,000 - £50,000 pa (including the fixed bonus) plus fantastic benefits and development opportunities
