Job Description

We are hiring for a Business Development Manager for an international translation  & localisation / LSP company to develop sales of their full language and translation services into the financial services business markets in Europe. 


Location of the job

Luxembourg - Hybrid, office option + remote work 


Language requirements for the job
Fluent English is essential - fluency also in French is a strong preference. German language skills are also an advantage

Job responsibilities of the Business Development Manager
As their Business Development Manager you will be responsible for driving revenue growth of their full translation and language solutions services into the financial services sector (for example,  asset managers, investment banks, insurers, private equity etc ) in Europe. 


The job will cover the following requirements:

  • Identify potential clients from the financial services and related sector (asset managers, retail and investment banks, insurers and other financial players) to promote full business translation services 
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and business partners
  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve and exceed revenue targets
  • Analyse market trends and customer needs to identify new business opportunities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless communication and execution of sales initiatives
  • Provide regular updates on sales performance, market trends and competitor activities.

The successful candidate background

  • Fluent English is essential - fluency also in French is a strong preference. German language skills are also an advantage but not essential
  • Proven experience in a business development role in the translation and localisation / LSP industry with a strong focus on financial institutions
  • Success in lead generation, key account targeting and qualifying, winning new business and developing existing accounts
  • Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills
  • An ability to create and drive business development strategies, including marketing campaigns and material.

Salary & benefits
Very competitive. Basic salary c50,000 - 90,000 Euro + commission (OTE c100,000 - 140,000 Euro) - salary dependent on candidate level of proven translation sales experience. Excellent benefits also.
