Job Description

Our client is a leading UK firm of Chartered Accountants, specialising in overseas and offshore accountancy and financial services.

To join the international division of their company, they are looking to recruit a German speaking Management Accountant to join the organisation.

Your role would typically involve the following duties and responsibilities:

• To prepare accurate, timely and informative management accounts, VAT returns, schedules and commentary for a portfolio of German speaking clients
• Understand the client’s business and industry sector
• Carry out On-going assessment of the client’s needs as the business develops over time
• Seek to resolve queries / outstanding information requests prior to the completion of the management reports
• Provide astute management accounting commentary and analysis in a professional and user-friendly format
• Advise the Accounting Manager / Manager when the reports are complete and ready for review
• Advise of any client problems likely to delay the start or completion of the management accounts, VAT Returns or other reports
• Contribute proactively as part of the team to address issues relating to staff, services, environment, the future development of the company and management structure with a view for continuous improvement

To be considered for this challenging position, you must have the following skills and background:

• Fluency in German and English, both written and spoken
• Be part qualified - ACA / ACCA / CIMA, CA, CPA
• Have experience already of working as a Management Accountant (including preparation up to Trial Balance) in a similar levelled position either in Germany or in the UK
• A sound knowledge of UK Company Accounting laws and procedures is an advantage
• Have an ability to work well under pressure and to strict deadlines
• Be able to lead a more junior team of financial personnel
• Have excellent client relationship skills.

Salary on offer is up to £30,000 + study package and benefits.
